I Really REALLY Love Chocolate!

More Andes Candies FUN!

This is similar to my candy tote post, but I just decided to change up the dimensions and make a box out of it.

Here's the front, using new colors and stamps, of course! Here is more of a side view:

And the box open to reveal.... 8 ANDES CANDIES!!!! So fun!

I just tucked the top of the box in the front, right in with the candies.....

Fun, Fun, Fun..... I know you will want to make this at an upcoming Taste of Chocolate class, don't you?

I REALLY Love Chocolate!!

At my open stamp day I remembered I wanted to come up with something fun to decorate Andes candies. And yes, I am STILL on phase one of the South Beach Diet, so couldn't even snitch one!!! URRG!

Anyway, I started to play around and came up with this little tote from our new Bella Rose designer series papers. This little sweetie is also made with our new in-color buttons, and new scallop punch (no more using corner rounders to make a scallop border ladies!)

And, here is the inside:

Ta-Da! I know, it's absolutely the cutest stinkin' thing!!! This will definitely be part of an upcoming Taste of Chocolate Class..... what do you think?

Think Happy Thoughts

I met with a customer today. She wanted ideas of cards to make with her church ladies group at an event in September. She wanted to use one stamp set, and a couple colors. Here's what I presented her using the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set.
I'm just waiting for her to select her color combos. Bayou blue/soft sky or groovy guava/ruby red.....

Aren't these fun? If you are looking for ideas for your ladies group, contact me! I will even prep the materials, come to your event, and help the ladies make them for FREE! Give me a call and I'll give you all the details!

I love chocolate!!!

And since I am on week 2 of the phase one section of the South Beach Diet, I can't have any!!! :(
But I do love to decorate it any way I can, and thanks to my good friend and stamper/creator extraordinaire, Nikki Brandt, here is a fun box idea!

"But Deann, this looks like a normal box created from cardstock," you say......

Ahhhh, I must admit, it appears that way on the outside.......
But, on the INSIDE.........
Did you know that kisses come in cookies and cream???? And they made the wrappers especially to match our tempting turqoise cardstock???? How aweseome is that! Do you know how hard it was to put them in the box without eating a single one! UGGHHH!!! Please, someone tell me they aren't as good as I imagine them to be so they will quit calling me from my stamp room! Oh, and since the kisess are stored differently than normal, does that make them a FRENCH kiss??? Oui, Oui!

This will definitely be part of an upcoming class..... which could be offered via mail if enough interest..... leave a comment if you'd like a 'taste of chocolate class' in the near future!

Template Tuesday

This is probably one of my favorite card templates. It works with almost any set! This card is on the masculine side, which I didn't intend, but like how it turned out. On a normal day, I can't make a 'guy' card to save my life.... guess I need to not try so hard! This card is made with the Wanted stamp set. The horse has a feeling of movement by stamping it toward the right of the paper first, then repeatedly stamping the image just a little to the left each time. Kinda cool?!This card uses the Simply Said set.... one of my favorites..... I like the color combo.... chocolate chip, certainly celery and pumpkin pie.... that makes me HUNGRY! Chocolate!

Won't you miss these colors..groovy guava and purely pomegranate? Which reminds me... better get your ink refills and cardstock for the retiring in-colors before they are gone. This card is done with the Priceless stamp setI hope you enjoyed these cards today! Make today a wonderful one!!!!

I've Been TAGGED!

Wow, what a surprise! Fellow stamper and faith sister Karen Orth, tagged me this morning! Well, I'm not very good at coming up with things about me... I think I'm normal (don't we all?) so here's my best attempt.
  1. I hate to cook, but make out my dinner menus for a month at a time.

  2. I love to create with stamps, but can't decorate my home to save my life.

  3. Both my hubby and I made the front page of the local newspaper for car accidents before we went on our first date about 2 weeks later... it was destiny!

  4. I clean my house, do laundry and grocery shopping every Monday and Friday.... I'm a stickler about that.

  5. I don't like to garden, but love it when my husband gives me beautiful flowers.

  6. My favorite actors are Nicolas Cage, Owen Wilson, Sean Connery, Harrison Ford and Sam Elliot.

  7. My favorite time of year is NOT winter!

Ok, not to wierd, but that's what I've got!

Here are my tags:

Kim Smith..... a crazy chick, super stamper and creator extraordinaire! Love ya girl!

Sheryl Dreyer.... one fantastic stamper and a super sweet lady!

Janet Wakeland.... my mentor, source of inspiration and one RemARKable lady.... I love you so much!

Jackie Bolhuis.... a stampin' sister, and brainstormin' buddy.

Barb Mullikin.... a great stamper I met on a SU! cruise 2 years ago! A sister from afar!

I know I'm supposed to have 7, but that's the best I can do so far! Make sure to check out these ladies! They ROCK!

Scrapbook In TWO HOURS.... Unbelievable!!!

I am NOT the scrapbooking queen, mind you, but I feel like one today! I completed a 9x9 scrapbook in just 2 hours. It's a gift for my nephew Andrew and his soon to be wife Amanda. They are getting married next month, and I am unable to attend the wedding in Florida :( so I wanted to make them a special gift. Here's what I came up with in just 2 hours!
This is the cover made from our On Board Book Basics... which I've now run out of! WHY the H you say? Because their last name is Hergenreder... that's my maiden name! I know you can't pronounce it (and I loved having such a unique name, but admit Oliver is much easier to write!)
I used the Tie The Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit, and the 'h' is a sticky cut letter with the fabulous fine cosmo glitter. LOTS of ribbon on my coil binding with the INCREDIBLE BIND-IT-ALL machine!!! Gotta love that little gizmo!
Here are the pages.... I kept them rather simple so she could add as many photos as she wanted. I've never met Amanda, so I am hoping she like handmade gifts.... WHO AM I KIDDING!!!! She is going to LOVE it.... Duh.... Everyone HAS to love SU! handmade gifts. What was I thinking!
Ok, so, what do you think? I think I need to redo my wedding album! It was the FIRST album I did when I began scrapbooking.... and you KNOW what your first projects end up looking like! YIKES.... Another dumb moment!
Thanks for looking today!
