Mini Madness! Day 21

Well, I don't know what my intentions were when I began this mini madness project! I just knew I wanted to make a circle book with pockets.... what for???? I don't know! Many of my ideas start that way.... just do it, and a use will come!
I used the scallop oval punch and oval all set from the occasions mini catalog. The paper is the awesome textured cardstock weight DSP called parisian breeze (I've got a cool rolodex idea in the works with this paper too!)

I used my circle scissors to cut out several pages from DSP and coordinating cardstock to create the inside pages, and bound it together with my bind-it-all.

I thought it would be nice to use this as a gift and put certificates in it.... like one to a coffee place, local stores, etc. All I had on hand was my Stampin' Up! gift cards that I've earned for FREE!

Raspberry Tart... SO SWEET! -- the complete project

Well, here is the third and final part to this project.

I found an acrylic file/bill keeper that has a magnet on the back... would be great on your refrigerator or file cabinet....

I took the raspberry tart DSP and lined the front and inside of the file compartments with different prints.THEN..... and here is the cool part.....

Ok, here is all of the pieces put together!

This is a special date & card organizer.... The dated cards are for you to write down dates to remember... like family & friends' birthdays and anniversaries. Then, you store your cards in the front pocket... handy to send out. The notebook is actually an address book so you have the addresses handy to send out your cards!!!! :)

Isn't this awesome! Pretty clever, if I do say so myself.... Ok, I have to toot my own horn here, because it isn't very often I actually have an idea of my own..... :)

Raspberry Tart... SO SWEET! Part 2

Here is part 2 of my raspberry tart project.....

I used my big shot and the top note die to create a fun book. The inside is die cut white cardstock for the pages. I covered the cardboard that comes in the DSP paper pack w/ the raspberry tart paper, then ran it through my big shot. I then used my bind-it-all to create the binding and finished it off with some fun ribbon accents.....

It created a fun little notebook....

THEN, I created the fun file folder pages... one for every month of the year, dated with the number of days of each month....

The rounded tab punch works fabulous to create the tabs along the top, don't you think???

Now, what in the world am I going to do with these two things, and the cards from yesterday???? Well, check back tomorrow to see the completed project!

2 WONDERFUL DAYS!

Yes, the new catalog parties were 2 fun-filled days of stamping, prizes, displays, icecream and MORE! Here are some of the highlights.....

Here are your friendly demonstrators waiting to greet everyone...

There were about 15 ladies waiting at the door for 6:00 to come! Finally, they stormed in, ready for all the fun and excitement that awaited! Most headed straight to the 'used treasure' sale table. Over $500 in used treasure was purchased from that table.... and those that brought their old items to sell got some nice gift certificates to use in the new catalog!

Everyone had a loot bag waiting them.... with fun stamped gifts...... Here's what everyone got in their bags..... An adorable nail file with holder....

And a wishlist.... of course, many had a full sheet filled by the end of the night!!!And everyone who brought a friend received a cute postit pad in their loot bags... and so did their friend!The first 10 to RSVP got this fabulous little pillow box made with then new BIG SHOT die cut machine.... isn't this clear little box adorable???? I used hershey miniature candybars, and covered them with some of the beautiful new designer series papers..... I want to make a million of these and give them to everyone!!!!upclose:

When you scheduled a party, you got a spiral bound catalog, a color book checklist, and a free stamp set!

Here is the color checklist book.......

On the inside you mark off the colors of ink, cardstock, markers you have (or highlight those you want!)

PRIZES were being given away left and right! SO many choices too!

Of course, the event wouldn't be complete without STAMPING!!! I think everyone fell in love with the new scallop punches, and of course, the in-colors and Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set!

The catalog was definitely the star of the show, and studying it was fun with the catalog scavanger hunt! What a fun way to browse!!! (and the ice-cream sundaes and floats were pretty yummy too!)

Lots of fun samples on display.... Some even brought their cameras to take pics of the ideas!!!

Overall, more than 40 ladies came to participate in the FUN! If you missed out this year, make sure you don't miss out next time! Watch for details on the next fun new catalog event in January!

Scrapbook In TWO HOURS.... Unbelievable!!!

I am NOT the scrapbooking queen, mind you, but I feel like one today! I completed a 9x9 scrapbook in just 2 hours. It's a gift for my nephew Andrew and his soon to be wife Amanda. They are getting married next month, and I am unable to attend the wedding in Florida :( so I wanted to make them a special gift. Here's what I came up with in just 2 hours!

This is the cover made from our On Board Book Basics... which I've now run out of! WHY the H you say? Because their last name is Hergenreder... that's my maiden name! I know you can't pronounce it (and I loved having such a unique name, but admit Oliver is much easier to write!)

I used the Tie The Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit, and the 'h' is a sticky cut letter with the fabulous fine cosmo glitter. LOTS of ribbon on my coil binding with the INCREDIBLE BIND-IT-ALL machine!!! Gotta love that little gizmo!

Here are the pages.... I kept them rather simple so she could add as many photos as she wanted. I've never met Amanda, so I am hoping she like handmade gifts.... WHO AM I KIDDING!!!! She is going to LOVE it.... Duh.... Everyone HAS to love SU! handmade gifts. What was I thinking!

Ok, so, what do you think? I think I need to redo my wedding album! It was the FIRST album I did when I began scrapbooking.... and you KNOW what your first projects end up looking like! YIKES.... Another dumb moment!

On-Board Book Basics Scrapbook

OOOHHHH... I just LOVE my new Bind-It-All machine! It is so awesome to create mini books out of everything and anything!

Here is a scrapook I created using our small book basics (chipboard pieces to make covers and such) and the Summer Days Simply Scrappin' Kit! How simple is this!!!!

This is a side view of my completed album.

You can create fun pockets and tags.... these are always a hit when people look through your mini book.
How about adding envelopes to create fun pockets and pullouts? You can add all sorts of things when you bind it yourself!

Aren't these little books fun fun fun!!!?? And the cool think is, you can get 2 books from one Simply Scrappin' Kit and 1 pack of the book basics!
