This is a fun techniqe called faux embossing.... You can see more cards done with this techniqe from my stamp club post HERE.
Faux layering is another fun technique we will be doing at stamp club (you can come and have fun with us!!!) Isn't this card cool???
And, of course, it's hard to show great projects with out having at least one of them feature the BIG SHOT! Here is the butterflies die again... so versatile! LOVE IT!
