Bells & Boughs Stair Step Christmas Card

Ok, I know I am going to hear it for this one after yesterday's post about how I don't make things that are complicated.  Well, this isn't 'complicated' but it is VERY PUTSY!

The Bells & Boughs set from the Holiday Mini Catalog is so elegant!  I stamped them with Stazon ink and watercolored them with Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke ink and an aquapainter.  The ruffle is our gold Waffle Paper.

Once in awhile I have to do a work of heART!  While this was fun to do ONCE, I don't think I'd make 50 of them or anything! lol!  Lots of cutting, but worth the results!

Here is a pocket card we made a conventional!
The curly label punch makes a great 'pull' for the insert.

Again, we used some more Quick Accents from the Nursery Suite Collection.

FUN FUN FUN!  If you don't have the owl punch yet, just you wait!  (You can even make it into a penguin out of it... yeah, really!)

Holland Seminar Fun!

What a fun weekend we had at the Holland seminar here in Michigan!

Seven of my team mates joined me in Holland for a fun girls weekend. 

Friday night, we learned tons of great ways to use the big shot with fabric, including hair clips, pins, quilts, table runners, banners, flags, purses, totes and more. 

Then, on Saturday we focused on workshops.... and I have TONS of great ideas to share with you... You will want to get your party on the calendar so I can share lots of great ideas with you and your friends.

I did a presentation at the seminar... over 100 ladies, and I made it through! :)

Stampin' Up! For All You Do Card Idea

Stamp Club Project #2

I participate in swaps occasionally with demonstrator friends of mine, and I got this template from a swap that I thought was really fun to make.

To create the pocket on the front of the card, use the scallop circle die, fold in the sides and bottom, then wrap the designer paper around it, and attach the embellishment.  Here we used Pale Plum, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, with the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper.

We also used the big shot with a texture plate to create a dimensional backgroun.

Stampin' Up! Pocket Card Crazy for Circles!

Circle Circus! This set is so amazing! Talk about versatile!!!!!
Here is the 3rd card we made at stamp club.

I used melon mambo, pretty in pink and black for this little cutie!
And three punches.... modern label, word window and the rounded tab. And I think I have used 3 rolls of the melon mambo polka dot ribbon... LOVE IT! It's reversible... there's no polka dots on the other side. SO that's like 2 ribbons in 1!

Stamp club card #2!

Bright and cheery! This card would be great for any one... young or young at heart!

Party Hearty is the set featured here. I used tempting turquoise, pink passion and green galore.... isn't it fun!? Simply fold the top of the front of the card down and secure it with 2 brads.
The pullout reveals the birthday greeting.....

Big Shot Two Tags Die & Texture Plates Card

This month at stamp club, we focused on pocket cards.....

I absolutely LOVE THIS ONE!

This one uses Greenhouse Garden (I don't care how many flower sets you have, you NEED this one!) Stampin' Up! hit the mark with these two new in-colors... Dusty Durango and Soft Suede.
The 2 tags die for the big shot works great for poket cards. Isn't it a great tag for this card? I also used a texture plte for the suede background, and even ran the stamped floral piece through to give that extra dimension.

Mini Madness! Day 29

Only one day to go of the mini madness challenge!!! I am seeing the finish line!

Today I made a fun hinged card using 2 sets from the mini catalog... Great Friend and Matchbox Messages along with the walk in the park designer paper and matchbox die... for the hidden message... see below.
The gray inside is actually just a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of cardstock. The large silver brad on the side is what allows the top to hinge open. Simply glue down the Walk in the Park designer paper to the bottom of the gray cardstock. And the hidden message is revealed when it's opened!

These are a ton of fun to make. I think you'll see more with this technique in the future!

Mid Winter Retreat Part 2

Oh, you probably want to see the projects we made last night! Well, here they are!

This card was made with the new Sweet Stems set (and matching paper!) And of course... the texture in the background was with the Big Shot Texture Plates.

This card is made with.... come on, you know which set..... GARDEN GREETINGS! And it features the new eyelet border punch... sweeeeeeet!

And this one was my favorite! We created a pocket with the top note die for the big shot, then we used the cute and curly set with matching curly label punch to create the accent and the tab for the pullout card. The punch and die coordinate fantastically! Stampin' Up! thinks of everything... do they not????!!!!

The ribbon is the new organza.... LOVE IT!
