Another Fresh Idea!

I saw someone make a cute pocket out of the new Fresh Cut stamp set and die cut notes, so had to do too, of course!

Here's what I did:
Take one of the die cut notes and punch out the petals.... then stamp and decorate the front as desired.....
Adhere a piece of 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 cardstock behind die cut image, making sure it is secured well along all 4 sides.
Next, apply adhesive to the 2 sides opposite of each other (I used Tombo Multi-Purpose Adhesive... works great!)
Then fold up and secure to create a pocket, like the one below...
Adhere the pocket to a cardfront (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock) and add a pullout piece... Your card is complete!
Have fun with your Fresh Cut stamp set and die cut notes! WHAT! YOU DON'T HAVE YOURS YET!!!! Call me now to get your set for only $21.95 and 15 notecards for only $5!!! Time is running out!

Scallop Punch Versatility Part 3

Here is another fun idea.....
Using your 1 1/4" circle punch, punch a circle out of some designer series paper.Next, line up your scallop punch over the area you just punched out, and punch.
You will end up with a scallop ring, like this:

Next, cut the ring at one of the scallop points.

Next, using just the point of your paper snips, snip slits at every scallop point, about 1/8" inward. Be careful to not go too far and cut the ring completely.Continue making snips all the way around, and then carefull stretch ring into a line:

Apply little dots of Tombo adhesive along top edge of scallop border.

Adhere scallop border along edge of cardstock, pulling gently and lining up as you go. Here is what your border will look like from the front side:

I used the One of a Kind stamp set for this project, and here I colored the 3 flower image with stampin' write markers. Then use the Boho Blossoms punch (which is designed specifically for this stamp set) to punch out all three flowers at once.....

Here are the flowers:

And now for the completed card.....Closeup:Enjoy making quick and easy scallop edges!!!

Bye-Bye!!!

Yes, it's here! The list of 'get them before they are gones'. These sets will be leaving us forever, so you will want to order them by August 10! Click on the image to the left to see the retired stamp set list. Remember... the retired accessories list will be coming out next month.

Scallop Punch Versatility Part 2

Here is another handy tip on how to make a medallion with the scallop punch.....
Punch your scallop from your desired cardstock or Designer Series Papers. Here I used Rose Red cardstock.
Temporarily attach the scallop piece to a piece of lightweight scrap paper, such as computer paper.
Then, using your scallop punch upside down, line up the punch so that it is offset with the scallop, and will punch into the scallop edges as shown here.
Remove attached scrap paper from the back. The result is a cool medallion.
Here I've used it with our eScape bundle special.
This is a great way to get a new look from a punch you already have. WHAT! You STILL don't have one? My oh my, let's remedy that right away! Give me a call to get yours today!

Fresh Cuts... Revisited!

I've been playing.... again!

And I know many of you have NOT taken advantage of the sneak peek offer yet! WHY NOT? This set, and the notecards, are AWESOME.... SEE!

Brocade Blue and Night of Navy.... with lots of glitter! SPARKLY! And the 5-petal punch is a must have with this stamp set!
Quick and easy.... Close to Cocoa, Basic Brown, Certainly Celery (the most beautiful color in the universe) and Apricot Appeal..... I whipped up at 15 of these babies to give away to new people I meet..... with a little som'in, som'in too, of course!

Here is a quick and easy way to add colors... Stamp your image in a neutral color... here Basic Brown. Then use the Pastel Chalks with Sponge Daubers to add color here and there.... It's so fast to color it in using this technique (and there's that beautiful celery again!)

Ok, this is a FUN FOLD.... and easy to do... Cut your cardstock in half lengthwise to make a 4 1/4" x 11 inch strip, then fold in half to create a standard card. Now, take the front of the card, and fold the edge back towards the fold of the card... VIOLA... a Tri-Fold Card. They are fun to do, and just a little som'in to make it different! Did I mention that the 5-petal punch is a must have????

Here is the card open... I do believe I see my chocolate jar in the background... hmmmm.

And now for my favorite card of the day.....and it doesn't use Certainly Celery, but it does use another green (I LOVE GREENS).... Mellow Moss. Humph.... there is that 5-PETAL PUNCH AGAIN! See how it fits perfectly behind the die cut flower in the center of the notecard? Who'd of figured!

Let's zoom in, shall we?

I appreciate you stopping by today. Drop me a comment sometime while you're here!

Scallop Punch Versatility Part 1

This little gem is a must have!!!! You must own a scallop punch (I really mean it!) If you don't you are missing out on so much fun!!!!!!

Today's idea is one of those things where I went... duh... why didn't I think of that! I don't actually know where I got the idea, I think at a Stampin' Up! demonstrator event, like convention (the biggest stamping party in the world!)

Anyways, here goes:

We are going to be creating a flower with this little handy dandy punch.....

Begin by punching out a scallop out of your desired cardstock... here I am using whisper white.

Then, mark the center of the scallop with a pen or pencil... you don't have to be perfect on this.... you are just using it for a reference point.
Next, take your paper snips (yes, the ones from Stampin' Up! are the best... nice clean cuts right to the tip!) and cut apart the scallops, staying about 1/4 inch from the dot in the center.
Continue working your way around until you have all the scallops cut into petals as shown here.
And now... for my completed all occasions card......TA DA....
Yes, I know... you want to see that beautiful flower upclose.....I used the 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the center piece... it's apricot appeal cardstock punched with the 1/2" circle punch (the same one you use on the Build-A-Brads.... versatile little thing, isn't it?)Don't have this punch..... bummer... You don't have to wait any longer though! Let's get it ordered for you today!

My Little Corner

Ok, I have to tell you that I cleaned my stamp room, AGAIN! I just had this conversation with my friend Monica, who is so organized and all.... and, I am so NOT! But, you wouldn't know it by the pictures I am going to share.... I figured that since I actually got the space looking ship shape, I should share it with you! (Before it's trashed again!)

Here is what it looks like when you walk in.... my room is downstairs and was the first thing my dear hubby Gary did when we moved in.... must of had something to do with my stamping things being in the bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room......

This is where I spend most of my time... I like to stand, but also have a stool where I can rest when the minutes turn to hours...... The cupboards above hold my stamp sets (No, I don't have ALL the sets in the catalog!)

Here is my stamp pad storage... I purchased it MANY years ago from STAMPNSTORE, long before Stampin' Up! came out with the stamp pad caddy.... but, I do love it. It holds 60 pads and you can see it was designed just for out pads... the BEST ONES ON THE MARKET if I do say so myself.

And, now for one of the highlights... my ribbon, eyelets, brad and wheel storage...... are you ready for this... (thank you my dear friend Jackie, for this amazing idea... you totally rock!!!!

It's RAIN GUTTER!!!!! I bought a 10ft piece at the lumber yard for $5! My DH secured it to the wall with screws/washers and I was in business. I think he thought I was crazy, but when he put it up, and saw me empty THREE DRAWERS, he was a believer! Ok, I can hear you.... so cool, right....? Now, before you run off to buy yours.... make sure you don't get the square kind....you want the kind that has like 5 sides to it, and when you screw it in, don't put the screws at the top side... make sure it tilts forward a bit and screw them in the second section... I know this makes little sense, but once you buy it you will know what I mean!

Next up.....the cabinet.... Oh No!!!! You can't peek in there.... it's filled with, well...... with all the stuff that I buy that I plan to do SOMETHING with..... (you snicker, but you know you have a box or cupboard or room filled with things like that!!!) And yes, there is more to the right, but you can't see that either... that's the 'BUSINESS' side of the room (don't ask why... you just can't!)

I tried so many different ways to organize my cardstock, and then, I went to my dear friend, Cathy's house, and saw how she had her cardstock in these magazine holders laid on their side... it took up such a little amount of space, and I fell in love! Here I wished I could have those fancy smancy cardstock organizers with a space for each color (that take up an entire ROOM).... ha, no more! I love this system... and it's right close at hand when I stamp!
And, right to the left of my cardstock is CARL (I love him!--just google Carl Cutters to find one of your own), my Bind-It-All and my scraps. I also keep most of my scrapbooking stuff in the cupboards below.

My scraps are organized by color family, and each hanging file folder has 2 colors in it, each color having their own cello bag. Once this bin gets full, it's time to make up some punchout assortments, paper salad, or just give to my friend Monica (hi hon!) She loves it when I get in the mood to pitch it!

And, the most important thing... the thing NO stamp room should be without.... CHOCOLATE!!! (see the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart???? My buddie Jackie made that for me... isn't she sweet?)

Well, thanks for looking at my little corner of the world... the place where great ideas are COPIED!!! lol :)
